| paper mache wings (poem) I worked real hard to make them
I thought I could fly
But when I jumped from that tree limb
I didn't touch the sky
Heartbroken in my corner
Tears flowing from my eyes
I felt like a foriegner
Blanketed in lies
Then all of a sudden
Something twinged
I felt my shirt unbutton
The back ripped and fringed
My back felt cold and moistened
Red and green staining my white shirt
I was floating as if hoistened
Cold liquid flowing down my skirt
Then I saw a twinkle
There were wings growing from my back!
As faery dust sprinkled
I thought now I can fly
Wings I do not lack
