Re: i need help with my social/love life

Well on situations like this one I would suggest letting the perdicament simmer down for awhile. Try giving everyone some space to make them feel more comfortable and then approach them in a positive gesture, however if his friends become more agressive or negative towards you I would suggest completely ignoring them and avoiding doing anything to make the situation worse. It is quite possible you can still be friends with your ex if you don't do anything to insult him, like criticizing his new girlfriend etc. If you would like me to give more detailed advice I would need to more details about the situation.

If you want to build self esteem try dressing in nicer clothes, approaching new people, working out, doing outdoor activities etc.
