Oh I understand what you're saying now. Well beliefs can be broken and shattered by words or actions.

Question their beliefs and make them doubt themselves and their god. Find out why they believe so strongly and brake it into little pieces bit by bit. Even if they have a strong will it can be eroded. However if you do manage to break them they will may be unsure what to believe anymore. Present them with what you want them to believe and they may or may not accept it.

My cousin came to live with us when she was 7. She comes from a very poor black neighborhood. I'm saying this because poor people are very religious. Anyway eventually me and my family shattered her belief in god. Well when she went to visit her mother they weren't too happy that we made her disbelieve in god.
