| Re: Is Homosexuality a sin? Geezz...people..come on.
@ Saz. The Bible DOES tell us not to judge others...as we are all equal and have no right to do so. HOWEVER God, being God holy and unchanging, has every right to "judge" right from wrong and he clearly states the acts of homosexuality are sins. Therefore it is not my judgment but God's judgment which I am merely conveying when I say homosexuality is a sin.
Now Rook, the bible never uses the word "homosexual" it speaks about laying (having sex) with members of your own gender as being sin, thus bi, lesbian, gay what ever you want to call it, is sin as they all involve laying with members of your own gender.
Also, as I stated earlier "sin" is a biblical term and thus you have to use the bible to clarify if it is "sin" or not...it isn't about if it is right or wrong in your eyes but in the eyes of the one who defines "sin" and that being the biblical God which has already been established as stating it is a sin.
@ Pyro_psyco, that is a very valid arguement with good foundation if you study the versions of the bible and the manuscripts they came from...BUT if you are going to believe that God is GOD and that the bible is his instructions towards man...then you have to believe he has the power to ensure his word is not made perverse by the wills of man and that he can keep his word holy and sanctified as he himself is holy and sanctified. That however is a personal belief. |
