I believe that homosexuality is not a sin. I myself am not homosexual, but I believe that everyone should have the right to love whom ever they choose. For example: different race relationships. Even though it does say in the bible homosexuality is a sin, I do not believe it is. This may be because I am not christian I am a self discoverer, but I know christians who believe it isn't a sin so yeah.
As for the whole dealing with your situation. I have been in the same situation, but I wasn't upset because I despise my ex, but that's a different story. All I can tell you is just to accept it.
