Well your friend is either in denial(went back In the closet) or he was never truly gay to begin with. Being strait or gay is a part of you, it who you are. You don't choose to be gay, its just a part of what makes you, you.
As for you, you don't just turn gay. You either are attracted to the same sex or not. I for one was never attracted to guys, and i wouldn't never say "hey im going to try and be gay this week".
