| Re: why hate emos? You know, I got to thinking after reading some of the newer posts...
Hate is a pretty strong word, I agree.
But I realized just how cynical I have really become. It's mostly based on where I live, and the bulls**t I have to deal with on a daily basis... I live far far from my true home. I am surrounded by people who are total screw-ups... And I have to live in a very suppressed enviroment... So I have become less tolerant that I used to be. (T_T) I think I am just sick of the people, as opposed to what they label themselves as. But as a human, I lash out at what is easiest... Them being "whiney emo kids." >.<;
I also looked at the word "wannbe goth." I think a lot of young people who are trying to find themselves and their style are considered "wannabes," especially to people who are "veterans." When I started to fall into different styles and cultures, they called me a wannabe. Simply because I "hadn't been around long enough." The same falls onto the emo fad.
Don't forget, that there is a difference between people who like the style, and are happy... And people who hate everything and think their lives are terrible and mutilate themselves. HUGE difference there. I know a couple "emo kids" who are happier than most people! They just like the "style" of emo.
Anyway...
I apologize for being so angry and cynical. I just really am not as patient as I used to be. V.V;
