| Re: Do women make men Rapist? It's long been accepted by psychologists that rape is less a crime of lust than a need for power. Men who rape women are generally the type who have been emasculated their entire lives, and commit these violent acts out of a desire to prove to themselves and the world that they are "real men" and can control those weaker than them. Research any serial rapist; I doubt you'll find many who did what they did purely out of sexual desire.
That said, regardless of how a woman dresses, no man has the right to rape her. Miroku's right, a normal man would stare and get turned on, but would not go so far as to violently attack and rape a woman dressed provocatively.
