Like the others have said, it depends on the situation. If it’s a killer or a kidnapper something really severe then by all means hunt/chase that crap-bag down.

I would have to really think about chasing a drunk drive, if you chase and he gets spooked and starts to run that’s something terrible waiting to happen. But on the other hand a drunk on the road is also something terrible waiting to happen.

If you do run from the law in a vehicle, and it’s in the polices judgment not to chase you to help protect innocent lives, then when you are finally caught the cops should charge the individual(s) with taking hostages. The punishment should be more severe.
