Re: The Strongest Man

~~~~~~~~~~
Example of a bad Battle Post.
Zyta jumped, dodging the attack and, upon spinning with momentum. Slashed his opponent from above.
- Reason why this is a bad battle post. You need to give your attack, BUT leave it open for the opponent to dodge, counter, or take it. NOT ALL ATTACKS WILL HIT AND NOT ALL WILL MISS. Constant stream of one or the other is PROHIBITED!
Give as much detail in your posts, Failure to give details is EXTREMELY LETHAL to your character.
Example of a detailed battle post exchange. Taken from a battle between me and a close friend in a battle called "Ninja!". can read the full battle here - Ninja! - Dreamer's Haven
Zyta-
The water rushed by Zetsumei fiercely, it crashed against the bank and rocks and sounded loudly, he couldn't hear anything from the surface on up. The ninja clung to a rock that protruded from the brook's bottom like a stalagmite - water version. The rock was slippery to hold and grungy with moss growing web-like that spiraled up with the brook's movement. Preforming techniques, seals, or breathing quickly became impossible, Zetsumei could hold his breath better then most, better even then some long distance divers, and his swimming was second to none from the village he came from.
The three Shuriken broke the water's surface suddenly; like bullets shot from a gun, the gave off a watery trail. The water's Index of Infraction soon slowed the weapons' speed considerably in only a second so that after a foot down they were each rendered useless. The projectory of the weapons told Zetsumei were Renaro had been standing at the time of the throw, he broke the surface with a jump, breathed out and in some fresh air and shot out the direction which was west.
Zetsumei dove behind a tree, concealed for a ninja was always top priority, so how else could his foe have seen him clearly hidden in the brook? Finding out that question is the main clue to this victory. As Sun Tsu once said, "Your opponent will give you the key to victory." Zetsumei carefully preformed one more seal, a basic cloning ability that gave him two perfectly shadow clones that lived and breathed just as he did. One body jumped from behind the tree, another did too, the last climbed the tree for a vantage point and watched on. A kunai was in each one's hand, though the first one to jump was making a seal, the second jumped from tree to tree - only about a yard and a half from the ground - while the third sought out Renaro.
Nevermore-
Renaro heard the splash and watched the quick movement as best he could while he was darting behind a tree. The mellow colors of his clothes blended in well with the tree's trunk but their main purpose was to blend in and make him invisible, even in plain view, while it was twilight. The shades of his clothes matched the shades of a setting sun. His only real danger was a purple twilight where there would be more purple and pink than the oranges and reds of his clothes.
He darted his head out from behind the tree, eyes open wide and took a quick look around the area. He saw two areas in the trees where leaves were falling. He noticed a shadow dart in some random direction, Clones, he thought and rested, hidden against the tree.
He looked out and up to see how high they might be and spotted the one on the top of a tree. He took out a kunai and tied an explosive tag to it and then placed it on the tops of his knuckles while forming seals and whispering words.. He stepped from behind the tree, spinning himself around as he went, first his left and then his right arms shot out, from each hand flew a tagged kunai right for the clone at the tree top. Then he disappeared again, hidden in the shadows of twilight.
Zyta-
The clone had seen where the kunai had come from, yet had no way of telling the other two. He could press the attack single-handily, he felt confident that his poison would give an advantage to his side despite that it would be only a third of its original potency; sure it would be enough to stall Renaro until the other two, who are obviously better equipped for fighting this very second, appeared for their piece of the pie. The clone stood still, his task was to find Renaro and he had done that, still a misty form of orange could be seen darting through the brush, leaping expertly from spot to spot without noise. The clone Zetsumei called out not Renaro's position, nor did he cry out in pain as the kunai collided with his flesh and exploded into a hundred burning shards of metal. The clone melted, as all the clones would when defeated, oozing forth lumps of poison; the tree branch was quickly engulfed, snapping and falling to the ground with a loud crack and thud on the forest floor. The poison evaporated into the air and was lost, returning knowledge and energy back to the original and other clone.
"There!" the real Zetsumei shouted to the clone, both now knew where Renaro had been only an instant before. With the speed that he was moving at, the two could only follow at a brisk pace. The clone jump high into the air over the general area, spouting out another ball of poison, this time portions purposely leaked out in a spray of mist. The mist fell on the battle ground, spreading further out each second like a wave of water, and seared the foliage clean off. Zetsumei stayed clear of the mist, though in truth it wouldn't effect him hardly at all, he stood on the edge, stepped back as the mist grew closer. He waited for Renaro like a bee waiting for someone to take his honey, the mist enclosed the area with a dark overtone that made shadows darker and dark spots charcoal black.
Nevermore-
Renaro watched the results of his actions take place and noted the poison. He formed a few quick seals and ran his right hand over his mask which glowed a soft green and then faded. It would now act as a filter that would protect him from the poison, at least for a time, depending on the strength of the poison. He watched the cloud slowly consume the area and became worried, though it didn't seem to be too strong, he was sure his filter technique wouldn't last long in this cloud. He was also at a disadvantage because the poison cut off the twilight that he needed to see his opponent.
He looked up at the tree he was currently standing by and thought it was risky, but his best bet. Sticking the side he was on, assuming that his opponent was at least on the other side or farther away from him than closer, he began to jump and climb quickly and silently. He hid as high as he dared which was only several yards above the cloud of poison, though he dared not risk a glance around for fear of giving himself away. He simply watched the area's nearest him.
