meh... while it may not be the most polite way to get the job done, once you've gotten to a certain point in a relationship, you do away with a lot of the pleasantries.
I have friends who invite themselves over, poke through my DVD and book shelves and simply take what they want (with the assumption that they'll bring it back). I do the same with theirs.
On the other hand, we frequently force loans... Just last week I was given a book and told "You have to read this and tell me what you think" while I gave a whole bag to my neighbor unsolicited.
So it really depends on your relationship. |
