It was made long before that. The website you're on now was made after the original AO crashed permanently. I don't know/remember how long that one stretched back in time, and I wasn't there at its beginnings.
Like someone already mentioned, AO has changed hands in ownership many times. We were lucky to have Dragonball as one of those guys.
