| Re: Emancipation of Minors (Getting out of the Parents House) I never really had to do this. I moved out of my parents house when I was 17 (I am now 22) and went to live with my sister, and I have since moved back into my parents until I can get back on my feet and move out.
For us to really be able to have a discussion here, we really need to know WHY you want to do this.
Life sucks. It really does. I've gone months making the choice "Do I pay my rent, or do I buy groceries" because I didn't have enough money for both.
My question is, Are you ready to live on your own?
Right now, you're 16, and I serously doubt that you are ready to live on your own. Most jobs that will pay you enough to be able to afford an appartment, utilities and groceries won't even look at you till your 18. Nor will they look at you till you have a High School Diploma. So unless you want to work minimum wage at a fast food joint for the rest of your life, I strongly reccomend you stay at you parents house, get your education, strongly concider going to college/university, then move out. |
