well if we started out with the ground types that couldn't fly or anything, 40 or fifty years MAY be enough time to make walking tanks. It'll take a lot more time to make anything more along the lines of an actual mobile suit. plus you have to get the militaries to actually adopt those kinds of weapons in the first place. |
