For a lot of people (and by a lot of people I mean me) FF VII is the only reason to like FF. If they dropped all other storylines or worlds or whatever and just stuck with the VII world, I'd be totally cool with that. VII may be wasn't the best FF, I don't know, I don't play them, but it is the most popular, and damn it they ought to decide whether they want to completely destroy it or keep it going, do one or the other.
