| Re: The 3089 War Fingers skillfully dancing over the laptop's keyboard, Johnathan managed to bring up the details the tech guy must have been looking at. Looking at the report, he saw there was indeed a program causing certain periods of memory to be rerouted to an unknown location in his mind. Curious about why his backup memory didn't record it, essentially working like a "Black Box" on a plane, no detail avoiding being recorded. Digging deeper into the program, he discovered it had been removed while he was rebooting, the person obviously thinking him taken out. "No wonder I couldn't remember anything at all. So let's see what else is in this report..."
A military truck racing past jerked him back to reality. Realizing he had to get out of there still, he made sure the coast was clear & all unusual parts covered up before shutting down the laptop & getting out to change the tire. Looking at the smoke rising from the hill where he was minutes ago, he worked out he must have been about 5 km away as the crow flies, further by road. Guessing he'd relatively safe, he never the less kept his guard up as he began digging out the spare tire. |
