| Re: Subbed or Dubbed: Which Do You Prefer? I'll have to differ with others on this one -- I'd go for dubbed. Subtitles are fine so long as they're not half-baked, but regardless of translation quality, they've been a strain to my eyes somewhat these days.
As for dubbing, some English dub tracks are quite up to par and sometimes better than the original, (think Haruhi Suzumiya, FMA, Cowboy Bebop, R.O.D. the TV, etc., but especially Cowboy Bebop). But most importantly I suppose shelling out a couple bucks for DVDs with great dub tracks should help keep the industry afloat, especially considering what happened to Geneon in the United States. |
