For ROD the TV Series click to show spoiler I loved that Junior was reunited with his mother, Nancy and the paper sisters decided to remain together even after gaining the knowledge that their partnership had been orchaestrated and many of their memories implanted. |
D'oh! Ya beat me to R.O.D. the TV! Oh well, I'll have to settle for something else then.
In that case, one of my favorite endings is the one from
The Place Promised in Our Early Days.

Now, of course, it's a happy ending - using his custom-built plane, guy flies comatose girl up to the very tall tower just across the border, their "promised place"; soon afterwards, girl wakes up. Now here's the twist - girl likes guy, was sure of it in a dream while she was comatose, but forgets about her love for the poor chap when she finally wakes up.
Was that some twist, or was that some twist, huh?
