I always got along better with my father better than my mother.
He was always much calmer and if I screwed up and made some mistake his first response would not be to yell at me like my mother, but to talk things out peacefully and logically.
I think I always favored my father to my mother...even though in my opinion the bond between a mother and a daughter is supposed to be stronger than with the father.
