Jeet kun do is a decent martial art like kung fu and taekwondo is has a high quality of technique and is beautiful to watch; however in terms of disabling your opponent and power we have many superior fighting styles.
Punching - Boxing/Dirty boxing
Kicking,Knees,Elbows - Muythai
Ground fighting/defence and submission - jujitsu, gracie or Brazilian jujitsu, grecco wrestling.
Weapons defence (modern, guns and knives)- Krav Maga
If you wanna learn how to just defend your self and how to beat the crap outta who ever your fighting there ya go =]
