Re: Lord Sesshomaru

^ nah. Sesshoumaru is definitely male. There's no question about that.
The biggest thing is his personality. No matter how much fantasy you throw into InuYasha and no matter what time periods you are able to enter, Sesshoumaru will never find a woman that he will find suitable to have his kids or to be intimately involved with.

As of right now as far as the anime has come we can come up with a list of qualities Sesshoumaru looks for in a woman:
1. Must not be human
2. Does not have to be devoted to him but must be loyal to him (as the two things are different)
3. Must be competent and sensible at all times while in his presence

With that much so far, there are not too many women that are nonhuman that fit that bill.
And already we can cross of at least 4 women from the series. One of which was never eligible since she'd never date him (let alone become physically intimate with him): Kaede, Kagome, Kikyo, Sango, Kagara. (Although Kagara could have been the one for Sesshoumaru but she had to screw it up. And Rin was never an option because of this.)
Continuing on with our list

4. Must have combative skills
5. Be independent
6. Have a clear sense of right and wrong (that coincides with Sesshoumaru's)
7. Knows how to get things done and is efficient at getting things done

Taking a break from our list, given Sesshoumaru's actions in the series either he's asexual or he's even more clueless about women (regardless of species) than most human guys. And that's pretty darn sad.

And while this proves or at least hints at the idea that Sesshoumaru could possibly like women, it ignores the possibility that Sesshoumaru is a homosexual. And rather than gross you all out, just imagine Sesshoumaru being intimately involved with any male character from InuYasha and then imagine the outcome. And then imagine a repeat performance.
