Chapter 1:
*If he wasn't so damn loyal to my stupid dad, he might actually be hot* thought Kairin as her eyes met those of Aikka's.
He kept staring at her for a while as though he knew Kairin was thinking about him. King Jacob was considering Prince Aikka's agreement. If he accepted the agreement, becoming allies with the Fire Kingdom would have its advantages. Evaluating the facts, the Fire Kingdom has a powerful army with the strongest weapons. They would really come in hand in a battle. Without any persuasion he agreed to Prince Aikka's deal.
King Jacob's parents were killed by a lethal disease, so he had to take all the responsabilities of the Water Kingdom when he was fifteen. The Kingdom is surrounded by clear blue water and crystal-like waterfalls. The island is surrounded by some houses built on elavated rocks. In the middle of the island lies the majestic castle where King Jacob lives, with his two daughters, 17-year old Kairin and 16-year old Hailey. In the depths of the water live hundreds of mesmerizing mermaids. They can hypnotize you with their beauty and make you face your greatest fears. In the deep forest next to the King's castle live wizards and witches with the ability to perform powerful spells.
Back at the castle Hailey was always prefered to her sister Kairin. Their father wanted Hailey to be his heiress even though she was the youngest. Kairin had always been jealous of her younger sister since their mother died, thirteen years ago
Aikka was the prince of the Fire Kingdom. He thrusted his most hidden secrets to King Jacob and thus King Jacob revealed his secrets as well.
Two months passed by, King Jacob discovered Prince Aikka's horrible plan, when he accedently heard Prince Aikka revealing his plan to one of his men. King Jacob was angry with rage and went to confront Prince Aikka.
Kairin was just walking down the corridor when she heard some voices arguing at each other. She was dying with curiosity and went to overhear.
"How dare you betray me like this?!" King Jacob exclaimed.
"If you weren't so preoccupied with your precious daughter Hailey you would have noticed what was happening right under your nose." answered Prince Aikka with a calm evil voice.
"So all those secrets you told me about your Kingdom were lies?" asked King Jacob with astonishment.
"Do you actually think I'd be so dumb to tell you my Kingdom's real secrets!" said Prince Aikka, "Now that I know the Kingdom's weaknesses, I now can take over easily."
"I won't let you." said King Jacob
"All I have to do os overthrow you and your youngest daughter. Infact I've already gathered my army to attack your Kingdom which will soon be mine." said Prince Aikka with a smirk.
King Jacob hastily performed one of his incantations and ran to save his daughters. Luckily he found Hailey within a few seconds. He quickly tried to explain what ha happened. Inspite of Hailey not understanding anything he continued talking about his plan of escaping the Kingdom. He asked her about the whereabouts of Kairin. Unfortnatly Hailey didn't know where her sister was, so he decided that they should meet in the enchanted room in tem minutes so that he can go look for Kairin, and if he doesn't come in time she should leave without him. Altough she didn't understand how they would escape she agreed and went their own ways.
When he found Kairin he told her to come with him.
"I don't want to. I heard what happened and I plan to join Aikka." exclaimed Kairin.
"What are you talking about? How can you do this to your own father?" questioned King Jacob.
He felt a tight grip around his wrist. He turned around to see who it was.
