Luckless Star
Silly Burgers

“So what are we?” Sitting all alone on the loner’s bench, on a lover’s park, I pondered on those very words, “What the heck are we?” eating my lunch and seeing all them love birds I was so pissed at every single one of them for no exact reason at all.

I’m not really with anyone, anyone, but I had someone in mind at that moment. I find it nutty to talk to my self like this too, but I just couldn’t take it anymore. “What the heck am I, a fringing booty call? The Mistress, so to speak??”

I can almost remember those days when I can function normally with kids, but they kinda fear me now.

I work on a burger stand on the park

“Burger and Fries on the go” the rumored “lovers only park” For only couples go here, and what not, I find my self stuck here till I die.

I had to see every single happily ever after ending while I can’t even have my own, isn’t it a little too unfair on my side?

“The world is a cruel cruel place to live in” burning the burger I knew I was toast “OH GAH! No! not again!” at this rate, I’ll end up all alone, with no money, no job and no nothing!!!

“Its okay I’ll take this one” Grabbing the burger, the guy who asked for it just took it away “Hey, wait just a minute, you didn’t… What in the” figured, he took it but didn’t pay for it, this is unacceptable!

And I know just what to do “Come back here you good for nothing rat!” I’m always, ALWAYS ready for little thieves.

“What in the world? What are you doing?” He said now running away for his life, for I was chasing him with my lucky baseball bath “You’re not getting away with that burger! You have to pay for it idiot!” I know I left my stand, but this is a primary objective.


“Hey, I’m the one who’s doing you a favor here!” Does he even know what he’s talking about? “You’re so gonna regret stealing from Silly Burgers!” And yes, our burger stand is named “Silly Burgers”

But suddenly “Peace!!” the guy smiled at me holding up a peace sign, just right after I hit him “Strange, why aren’t you running?” Did is just ask that straight out? Why is he making peace all of the sudden?

“You think you’re really that scary? Please…” He is a jerk, I so wanna kill him, but I dunno, it felt weird, is this thing what they call attraction? “Look, I just want the pay for the burger, that’s all” He quickly pulled out his wallet and gave me my pay “There, all done, so how are you?” So now he’s asking how I am?

“Cant talk, must go back to work” I loose all my composure in front of this guy, its not good, I better head back, I don’t sense anything good with this meeting.


“Okay, I will see you then” I felt like he was smiling while saying that, maybe I knew him from somewhere too, but I’m not that sure now.


“Yuna!!” Oh crabs! My boss went back earlier than expected. “Sorry, I chased a thief” it’s true anyway. “You did eh?, now you go back here and do your job, there are other costumers waiting”

My Boss is such a baby, but I guess my job is a job, better make the most of it.

Especially if I’m gonna do it my whole life.
