Yay for originality..
I couldn't think of a way to spin freedom into something so unique.. Thank goodness you could!
Lines close the borders of sight,
turning everything to iron.
Silhouettes and pyramids, stacked in a line.
Anubis frowns upon my fortune.
Treacherous as the act may be,
Caesar stole my heart in his ivory skin.
The lines become thicker
looping around my neck, wrists, soul
Men once loyal to my name are enemies
loyal only to the new ruler.
Wind howls at my cage blowing in the sand,
my only friend the sand.
All my tears are dried up in it
seeking understanding in any one grain,
I was empress and how dare they;
no one dare impede my dominance.
Cleopatra of the world
and lover to the Sphinx.
My eyesight becomes lesser,
smaller as my freedom is sacrificed.

Apparently Caesar and Cleopatra were intimate. Perhaps that was forbidden by Egyptian law? Who's to say when freedom is such a precarious thing..
the love you withhold is the pain you carry.
Yay for originality..
I couldn't think of a way to spin freedom into something so unique.. Thank goodness you could!
