Thread: Horror

A heart beating quickly , someone gasping
as they hear a noise that echo's from a
darkened corner , the rustling of leaves
heard from out side that blow so lightly across
the ground.

Horror can come in many forms and fear can be
something that is surreal and bone chilling , blood curdling
and always unknown , what was it just now that you saw
from the corner of your eye? , was that noise from the my
bed room? or is it just something an over worked imagination
makes up for you out of boredom.

Walls that bleed , eyes that float outside your 2and story
window , whisper from behind you with a cool touch on your
arm , don't worry nothing is there its just draft in your house and
maybe the TV or a radio you heard , maybe not but the horror
is always there.


Rocking chair that rocks without any help , ravens that seem
to follow your every movement , creaking floor boards above you
or maybe out side the door your behind when no one is there but you,
a shadow that seems to pass by you when you didnt make it or saw
no one , horror is anything everything that you think is dark and unknown.


Death , rotting flesh on a zombie , glowing yellow eyes from a wear wolf
the blood lust of a vampire , things that every nightmare has or could have
there nothing to protect you from the horror that will come and may come
so go to bed with a cross by your side or around your neck say your prayers
and know that things are OK now , but remember your only as safe as your
mind lets you be.

i made this poem from the thoughts of Halloween and how
ones imagination can make things more scary than they really are.
