Thread: Life Comes With A Price (August entry)

I was quite a bit influenced by this poem. Parts of this piece seemed as though they were speaking to my spirit.... Kinda moved me there, esspecially toward the end.

"Never abstaining
The things we desire.
Failing to get
The things we require.

Focus on necessities
Like food and water.
Not on the addiction
That never seems to falter"

Just the word "addiction" there, opens so many doors for the reader on a personal level. Because exactly what the addiction is, is not defined here. So, it's basically like the reader gets to fill in the blank with their own obession\addiction of choice.

What I wish were more clear, is where rememberence ties into this.

Although i don't see exactly what's being remembered here, i must say that the poem is indeed true. And people wonder why i'm so misanthropic. Anywho, the poem was very powerful and portrayed one main flaw of humanity in a very profound way. Go you!
