Day

I am working here
It brings great joy to my life
I am not alone

Others are like me
They like it as I do too
I am not alone

I'm here 'till sunset
I really like work this much
I am not alone


Night

As I lay here now
I'm happy just like always
I am not alone

Comfortably in sleep
I see my work in my dreams
I am not alone

I know next morning
I will do good work again
I am not alone

Dawn

I feel.....this strange sensation, all is so surreal
I fall off my bed and hit the floor, feeling dense as steel.

I begin to not feel happy, I don't even know how.
I feel sadness taking hold, I don't even know how.

I start to feel resentment...
Even hate....
For my boss,
My most glorious boss.

I can't explain the loathing, as if I was
possessed.
But in the end, I knew should have always hated him so. I was being
repressed.

I realized soon, that I was their little worker bee
Working for my queen
Though this queen was nothing to be seen
Just another greedy pig

I liked to work hard
But now it brings me no joy
I am so alone


Yes, believe it or not, the last part of this poem had meaning to its disjointed glory. Any criticism and suggestions are welcome and encouraged.

Thanks for your comment, but the poem wasn't only about work as we know it.

It was sort of an attack on communism and the restrictions it poses to its people under its control.
