A Lover's Courage

It's been awhile since I've done one of these but I figured that I would attempt it and see what you all think. It's not one of my best but I like it all the same and I hope you all enjoy it.

Her eyes are a magnificent hazel
Her hair a nice, almost dark brown
Her skin is pale like a night star
And her lips are a beautiful pink

She has a natural beauty
One that many people love
Yet at the same time
Has a dark side that no one notices

It eats her up inside
Slowly, day by day
Making her grow weaker
And less courageous

The walls she hides behind
Keep her from getting hurt
But for one man alone
She has the courage to tear them down

She lets him in her heart
Even though they can’t see each other
The distance between them
Gets smaller and smaller

Because of this one act
She has found her love
And maybe now she can have
A happiness that will always last
