On this night
I lay my burden down
To sink or to sail
Wishing boats farewell

On this night
I lay my burden down
To sink or to sail
Wishing boats farewell

My lonely soul drifts away
As the boat sail today
He, my love goes along
But we shall not be apart, not for long

A slight kiss of the hand in a goodbye wave
I watch the boat sail, as my simple heart caves
My heart takes a place on that boat
As I hold tight onto his last note

The note that wished me goodbye
As I read it a single tear formed upon my eye
I kissed it as if it were him
Only seeing my future now is dim

On this night
I lay my burden down
