Thread: Poem Of The Month

After a long absence of offering people to participate in poetry, here is your chance to shine in this contest for the best poem you can whip up. To make certain that as much people can join, there won't be complex rules of how the poem has to be, but certain guidelines should be followed as is:

1. Must at least have 14 lines of text with more than 3 words per line.
2. Be grammatically correct.
3. Follow the theme of the poem that I will name after these rules.
4. It may or may not rhyme.
5. Have fun
6. Must be written in English (you can always put the original language of the poem under the English one if you wish)

POTM means Poem Of The Month as everyone will have about one month to create their entry. The winner will have his/her poem stickified at the top of the poetry section and all will be able to appreciate her/his hard work. You may only enter one poem per person. Submit your poems to Contest Entries. Only judges will have access to your poems. That is, you will not be able to see other's poems until the contest closes. Oh and a noteworthy thing to say is that Dragon Ball and Pyoro-Pyoro are donating gifts as well to the victors. Here they are without further ado:

• place gets 15,000 Points PLUS an anime artbook donated by Pyoro-Pyoro.
• place gets 10,000 Points PLUS a wallscroll of your favourite anime donated by AO.
• place gets 5,000 Points PLUS a necklace or ring of a given selection donated by Soldat of life.

The prizes should be as listed above, but may vary a little. Don’t worry, it can only get better

Now, to the theme of this poetry contest. Some may have more ease with dark titles and some more with positive things, but the magic about a theme is that it can combine both things, depending on how you interpret the word(s). Here is the title that you will have to use in your poem:

Beyond the Bounds

I once wrote something with this title and I'm pretty proud of what came of it. Sometimes it helps to listen to music as you write or simply be relaxed to better assess your thoughts. With this, I wish you all good luck and I'm looking forward to reading all your entries. There will be four judges to evaluate your poem and each will give a short comment describing why they picked one out of all the rest. The judges will be:
