Thread: Poem Of The Month

Here is the said poem I had written in the past as I promised some time ago, though I'll only show the start not to give out too many ideas now (it's much longer and I'll show the rest in time):

Beyond the bounds


Moving forward in time not back,
Searching the right path that will lead to success.
Reaching out the inner strength to go on no matter what,
Letting go of simple things that offer no comfort.
Taking in the little moments that bring joy,
Profit of these times to find force in desperate situations.


I wrote this when I started working 7 days a week and had two jobs that was quite physical and I'm not a strong person. I knew I'd have difficulty getting through, so I wrote a little something to encourage myself to get through. I listened to music at the same time with the song with the same title from Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner. I'll put more up in a day or two.


Now let's see some more great poem entries as the more the merrier and greater will be this experience for me and the judges to find the 3 best out of all of these entries.

Hm... I believe I will enter in this... competition? I really don't see it as that... I love poetry and music. It is how I express myself. I really wouldn't mind at all if I got last place (thought it is non-existant haha) because my soul goes into my arts.

I really enjoyed what little bit of your poem you shared! Should we expect to see the rest at the end of the judging or sooner? I would really like to read the rest!

i am new;; and i was wondering where we post the poems when we are finished???

Come and take a walk with me, as we travel through the dark,
Just hold on to my hand, and I will guide the way,
Hear the cold wind blow, it sings a sad song for you,
Listen to the beating drum, the sound of a broken heart,
Hold your head up high, and taste the bitter air,
It is heavy with sorrow, will all disappear,
But still in this darkness, there still hope for you,
Do not turn away, do not leave my side,
Together we are safe, with out you I am afraid,
If you leave my side, you will lose your way,
Just hold on to my hand, and I will guide the way,
Through the darkness, no longer am I afraid.

Protego insons insontis,
Ut tribuo meus vita pro meus deus quod socius vir,
Futurus lux lucis spes atrum,
Ut totus alius lux lucis deficio.

Here is the second part of what I had wrote to further inspire you all as time is slowly starting to run out, there is still about a week left so no rushing it either, but time does end up running out eventually now:

Fearing the darkness that shrouds the mind,
Unknown occasions that show no way out.
Denying help making oneself grow less and less,
Irritated by the world that revolves around you.
Isolation after desolation taking all your time,
Destroying your very being in doing so.
