A Search for Beauty

We all stand together, yet no one can see
These masks which we wear bind our beauty

A small, select few, take their time to see
that outward reflections can truly deceive

The porcelain chains which keep our mouths shut
can hold back true nature, and spill out wounding cuts

For rarely it is that these bindings will break
and a step towards pure beauty the select few will take

The select few then see reality
Attractiveness isnt the same as beauty

It's the sun shining down on dew covered grass
or looking into a window of stained glass

In beauty's glory we can thoroughly bask
all we must do is remove the mask.

Rhyming from start to finish and a few nice deep words sprinkled about. Though ''select few'' was repeated once, it didn't see too awkward. Nice job!

i tried to make it sound as if there are only a handful of people who look past all of the superficial bulsh*t in our society (I.E. taking off the mask) and i didn't really know what else to call them.

but thank you anyway!

That was a buitiful and true poem u deseved to win it was awsome

That poem is truly beautiful NeoDeath. While it had a great rythme scheme you did not let it dominate your direction and thought process.
