![]() Abomination | Re: need drawing tips i cant say that im the best, but i can say that im good or at an average level you know? and well the most obvious problem i see with most people ( i teach lil grade twos sometimes) is that they press too hard on the pencil. oh and also try to remeber that in the drawing tutorials, the steps are good for the first fewq times but by then you should be albe to draw it yourself. here are some tutorial sites: Manga Tutorials - How to Draw Anime & Manga Style HOW TO DRAW MANGA -- MANGA UNIVERSITY Polykarbon: Tutorials! |

![]() Diamond in the Rough | Re: How do you learn 2 draw stuff in anime style? I learned to draw manga/anime style through reading it, watching it, and buying drawing books on it. I've been drawing since I was little and prefer cartoon drawings rather then realistic. Drawing to get better takes time and practice, in which I draw all the time. I still have a hard time drawing folds of the clothing, but artist always have their weaknesses. ^_^ My mother was a wonderful artist, so I guess I sort of inherited it from her.

What I find to helpful is to start off by "imitating" some of the pro's work, hell, you can plainly copy the characters off the page if you want. The only way you'll get at better drawing is by drawing. Reading plenty of mangas with variation in art and "How to..." books are very helpful too.

![]() ![]() Credits: 649 | Re: How do you learn 2 draw stuff in anime style? ^ I agree. The most praisworthy form of painting is the one that most resembles what it imitates. ~Leonardo da Vinci I've always been fascinated with anime art style since I was a kid so I decided to do one so I practiced (mostly during class hours when my professors give out those boring lectures). Thanks to them I improved! |

![]() ![]() Credits: 419 | Re: How do you learn 2 draw stuff in anime style? Hm acutally I don't draw anime style except maybe sometimes since I am more of a creature designer then people. I have been drawing since I was little and even got a degree in art lol. There are tons of learning how to draw books out there or you could take classes which is handy. Imitating or copy art is really cool just don't forget to develop your own style and imagination .
