Thread: Am i the only one who doesn't like the newer Gundam series?

anyway...the guntank did survived even though it did have it's hits and damages, and it was even modified and upgraded. it's not even considered a mobile suit either.

na you aint the only onw i really dont like the new series. ill watch them but i really dont like them

I'm one of the people that like the new series. They may not be as good as the old ones but they are still good so the story isn't all new.
Look how many gundams have been made.
It kinda hard to come up with all new stuff of the next series but i say you like whatever you like and I'll like whatever I like.

personally, my issue with the latest Gundam series has been its depiction of soldiers in the military (with the exception of Gundam Seed for the most part).

I don't know what it is with the writers for the series', but what is with them and demonizing soldiers. I'm all for ending war, and I hope that no soldier ever has to go to war, but I understand that soldiers are a necessity, there are things worth fighting for and defending. Demonizing the soldiers that do the fighting is down right insulting to me, which is why I had a real hard time watching series Gundam00 and Code Geass (Unrelated series, but related to the topic at hand).

why giving gundam seed the exception? it's almost the same element as the 00 gundam and even previous original ones. these new ones are just unrelated spin offs of the original one. so, these writers changed the formula of the original. because if you have seen the original true gundam, it has a different and better story compared to these new ones....that includes the demonizing the soldiers.

in my opinion, i would rather watch 00 than seed. at least it has slight originality compared to that cheap knock-off seed and seed destiny.

aceman67 i don't think they are trying to demonzie all soldiers. I think they are trying to show what war can do to a person. In war you become something else and even when the war is over it becomes a battle just to become that old person you use to be. History has proven that humans can do thing in war that normaly they wouldn't even dream of doing.
