also the gundams are said to emit...er...something, i forget what its called, but there very similar to the Minovski particles in the UC era.

It makes sense when you think about it. How better to end a war than by having a third party come in and beat both sides into stopping. You either stop fighting because the outsiders are going to kick your head in, or you go after said outsiders. Either way the original war stops, even if just for a short time.

i got the impression that they where trying to stop wars forever, and was thinking how impossible it was...

Ah, the joys of human nature and our desire to fight... I would think that this series is going to have quite a bit of meaning to those that watch it, especially given our worlds current military state. Might explains why they've set it in 'this' universe as well.

Both good points. A third party steps in & makes it clear that if they don't play nice, they'll get rather hurt, problem is it's human nature to clash with each other. Survival of the fittest, just without the need to survive for the aggressors.

I must admit, back in High School I started a model collection, pretty much based around that idea. At the time I called it a "Freelance Peace Keeping Force", an very high tech army which fights to keep everybody safe from anyone who wants a fight. And no, they were in NO WAY mercenaries. Try to bribe or hire them, all they'd do would be take the money, donate it to some charity, then still give you a good hiding.

Over 12 years later, that idea is kind still stuck in my head. The collection has grown slowly, but it still follows that theme. I guess I can thank people like John Fahnam (spelling?) for that. I listened to a fair bit of him singing "How long are we going to sit in silence?... How long are we going to look at each other, down the barrel of a gun?...You're the voice! Right? Understand it? You're the one's who can make it real!", all from "Your The Voice".

If this series has that same theme, I REALLY want to see it!! I'd love to see how someone else envisioned it. Anyone know if it's on YouTube yet? I wouldn't be surprised if it got on there, I've found a few things on there that are interesting.

Yeah, I'll be needing the subbed version too. I'd love to learn Japanese fully, but all I can do is say 1,2,3 & 4 & head, shoulders, knees & legs. Damn it!

Still, might have to put a reminder to look for it come December. I'm very much liking the sounds of this...

It will be aired on October 27 at 6:00 P.M on TBS. The subbed version might be available within 2 to 3 days after the official broadcast. So, change your reminder to the last week of October.
