What Mobile Suit/MA is this?

A long time ago i watched what looked liek the final episode of a gundam series where a gundam was fighting this big Purple looking ball thing that had 1 eye like the big zam and all it did was ram the gundam into the wall, i remember a pourple ball, but it might have been the big zam i can't remeber the episode they were fighting near the woods in front of a giant cliff and it was an older series
