Battles between Light and L

I love the whole battle between Light and L, both geniuses. Lots of twists and turns. This is the first anime I'm actually really impatient to find out what happens. So for the first time ever, I've picked up the manga, to find out ^^

I have just started watching the anime and it has sucked me in. the twists are very good i like them allot. Even thought i'm on episode 4 it has proved it's self as a very good anime.

And Light and L are both outstanding charaters. I still wonder what L's real name is. Or maybe he hasn't got one.

the battle between them was great. i couldn't take my eyes off the TV. I was always impatient to find out what they were planning and doing and i couldn't wait to find out who would win.

well to answer your question Commander sparx! L does have a real name, as you get further in to it they call him Ryuzaki, but thats not his real name either, the only one who knew his real name was Misa, but then she lost here eyes shortly after, and her shingami did too of course, um... as you go further on there is a new character called N (Near) and he and M (Mello) become L's succesor

but they together are way more powerfull than L was, but because they both hated each other they ended up woking alone. Kira is very smart, but some times he can be too overconfident,

the manga is great to read! and i love the anime too, I stayed up for hours watching ther series in Japanese just to find out what happened, and now i just ordered the movie! I cant wait, but the battle between the two of them is great! lol

My friend got me into that anime/manga. I watched the japanese episodes on Veoh and I swear their battles just excited me for some reason. The battle of geniuses as I like to call it XD alot of twists and turns that made your head spin in agony but very very good, didn't get boring to me at all... Until well.... Episode 25. ):

Really surprised me though, but I have to say L won in the end. ^^

How can you say that L won he cleary took Kira for granted and ended up getting killed in the end for it, see yes he had the right answer that Light was Kira but he didnt prove it to any one, it just so happened that N was able to prove it. So technically N won!

I find it refreshing how Light(Kira) and Ryuuzaki (L) battle with wit instead of brawn. Most of the violence seems to be in the deaths themselves, though there are moments where the violence doesn't end fatally. Those tend to be few, though. *shrug* Or maybe I should be watching more Death Note, hmm.....?
For the record, I want a real Death Note. Just to have one. Really. Ok, maybe I have an ulterior motive, but I'll-never-telllll.........hee hee hee. * goes back into the dungeon*

Best battle ever between the two was when Light just sucker punched L in Misa's room! (When Light was shackled to L) That was hilarious! Then L decides to kick him back, and it becomes a trade of blows after that. LOL.

It didn't even last long, but it was so friggin' funny!

But anyways, the battle are actually quite mindboggling if you ask me.
It took me a few read-throughs just to understand Volume four and the intense details and suspense really bring out the best out of this anime. It's a shame that

but nothing we can do about it, right? It's just pretty awesome to watch all their clashes.

The L vs. Light thing in the room was just awesome, really. Brought up a tense moment and made their relationship even more strained. Pretty intense if I do say so myself.

of that anime I can say that is the smartest of all the ones I have seen ^_^... even the end is somehow a big turn and surprise... I am not going to spoil you guys that are starting to watch it no worries ^_^

anyways, I loved to see the mental battles between L and Ligh. They were not so out of the reality... exept for the fact of the notebook and the shinigami...
