Death Note banned in some schools! - Page 3

well, my opinion... why would kids watch a show like Death note? And, i do have a death note.. I write stories and stuff in it. But, i guess kids can get so into a stupid hoax like that... but, it shocks me that they actually kill their parents just because, of a TV show?

I think that that is really stupid! I mean it was kids just goofing off! It's not banned here and I'm going to create a death note. I created one like it in 7th grade and my friends and i didn't get caught or in trouble.

I almost got expelled for having a deathnote from the anime which was actually concept art. So long story short they took it and have been watching me since, and since Im in Nevada, this doesnt make any sense, its just a deathnote, who cares what we do as long as we dont kill anybody!

I think that it is stupid that it got banned in japanese schools. Some kids created Death Notes and apparently that isn't allowed. I don't care that it isn't. It's harmless fun. I mean come on! Anyways, I live in the U.S. but it's banned in some schools here to. but not in mine! tehehe!

I don't understand why the actual manga was would be banned. Obviously making an actual deathnote wouldn't be allowed, since it's basically seen as a hit list. Schools always seem to err on the side of caution. If only people would think a little on how their actions impact more than themselves...

Good point Zeif. I can understand why making a "Death Note" might freak out a few School Admins. With all the school shootings and etc.

Most school teachers/admins DON'T watch anime, so it could be easily interpreted as a Hit list.

What is a death note but a glorified hit list? Why should schools allow children to make a hit list? You know what that equals? The next Columbine.

I applaud the schools for banning death note related material, as the whole show is focused on killing people. If schools want to prevent something like killing people, I say go for it.
