Staffs of this schools must be very limited people. If someone has "Death Note", It means the person hate some people so much it (he?) could kill them. And what is the reason of such tremendous hatred? People, who make this kind of notebooks, must be really bullied by persons, which names was written. What means the manga is not a problem, the problem is... people. But it's simpler to ban manga and to expel students than take care about real problem.
And besides, „Death Note” should be allowance 14+.

I agree. Besides, if someone isn't mature enough to keep their grudges inside themselves, or find an answer to the problem with a person, they shouldn't be allowed to read a manga that involves killing people with a Notebook. Personally, I love DeathNote. I even have a DeathNote notebook, but I use it as a journal, not to 'kill' people. Some people just have issues that can't be solved by schools.
Does destroying who you were make you who you are?

Goddamn, they REALLY did that ?? I mean, Light's a genius, wouldn't they be delighted that students try to be like him ? Well, in the end he turned out to be quite dumfounded, but still ... ! On the other hand, that's kinda understandable. Even if it's not a REAL Death Note, you wouldn't want to read your name in there, right ? Although I must confess I did the same thing after watching the anime - later on I bought one from eBay ^.^
