eh, I don't think the dubbing will really ruin it, but i don't like the idea of a lot of stupid people turning Death Note into some kind of mass obssession thing like Bleach and Naruto. Death Note is far too intelligent and well-written, and something like that happening would just ruin it almost. I'm not really planning on watching the adult swim version, since I finished the series last year, but i might watch the first episode again just to see what the voice actors are like and if they make any changes. i don't think they could really ruin it too much by translating it, but you never know. they managed to screw up rave master to an absolutely unbelievable extent.

I prefer subs, but DN is such a great anime that it deserves to be spread to the world.

it is a great manga, and it does deserve to be presented to a mass audience, but sometimes in doing so shows lose what makes them great in a poor attempt to try and bring in more viewers. like a band selling out or a game simplifying itself to bring in inexperienced gamers

Yeah, I'm watching it even though I already watched it on jap already but I just love it. So I had to watch it english also and read the manga even though it is word for word. I don't really like the english voices but I'll just live with it.

I have heard and it is out now but I have rare time to watch it since I fall asleep before it comes on.
I have to go to school and tennis practice.
On some nights i stay up and watch it but come in on random episodes and dont understand what they are talking about.

yeah i think its a good thing that they decided to put it on adult swim though it would b better if they put the episode from the previous week right before the new episode because if u miss an episode u will have no idea whats going on
