but anyway, yes the anime is dark. thank god. Silent Reaper(of deviantart) put it best when she said "Maybe there will be a sequel called Life Note!" You want a non dark, happy go lucky, smile fest? that's the anime for you.

i'll take my dark and scary Death Note anyday. besides, when has anyone actually turned emo from that show?

Well, I think that people judge Deathnote the way that they do because its the way light "whacks" people off, no matter ender affiliation, or anything like that. Or the fact that L did look like a "emo", so to speak.

Oh, and I know someone who went emo when L died. It was crazy. He cut his wrist like it was a loaf of bread >< blood and tears everywhere.....goodtimes...
For the record, he is doin A LOT better ^^

i can see what you mean. but if the people actually watched the anime or read the manga, they'd know he looks lanky and pale because he never leaves his base and he thinks A LOT!

well deathnote maybe kinda dark but you cannot consider it as emo.emo has a different meaning.and deathnote is kinda cool.it has many twist in its story and it made me think deeply.

I was about to mention that emo is a genre of music and not a life style but I don't want to go into that.

Anyway...

Death Note has to be "dark and creepy". The same goes for every mystery story in the world. The "dark and creepy" emphasizes the suspense and drama. You think anyone would think of it as a drama if the characters were like Chiyo-chan from Azumanga Daioh? If anything the "dark and creepy" has made it a better story.

Lol no I like that show. If u think it's emo and scary don't watch it. It's very interesting to me. It's an anime about killing ppl,so it has to be creepy.
