Great read BUT are there way too many words?

yes, death note owns! i have only, unfortunately, read the first volume of manga, but i loved what i read. i look forward to reading more!

Not to rain on your parade, but it gets draggier towards the end. I loved the first volume too, but I remember thinking while reading Vol 2, "Gosh, there are just way too many words!!!" It kind of takes the fun out of reading a comic - I didn't expect to be seeing so many words; it was almost like reading a novel.

That said, I definitely do like Death Note - though I'm kind of glad the anime is drawing to a close.

I got the books from my friend and no time to read them yet.
I read some but got bored because there were to many words and was kinda confuseing.

God forbid you might have to read something...

I haven't watched or read death note yet, but I will eventually. From what I've seen in music videos and previews, i might enjoy it.

well u just have to think about why they have so many
would u prefer they had too many or too little
they say so much because they have to come up with alot of strategies and im sure ud think it was worse than if they explain the things that happen

Well yes theres lots of words but thats because they do alot of talking and its not that much but its a dective story and like i sad they have to talk and think to each other about killings and thing.

hmmm.....i truely DO NOT remember making this thread. the title doesnt even look like something i would put! in fact, im one of the ppl who likes the ammount of words.....

im very confused.

well, anyway, i think the amount of words in the manga is good, i mean, there are lots of plot details and senarios, so you need to explain them somehow!

Love the series, but I have to somewhat agree.
The manga just has so many words to it that I get a headache.
I also had to read it over a couple times before fully understanding it.
That can get dragging, if you were to ask my opinion.
Still love it all though.

Yeah your right. The Manga has so many words in it and then you have to go back and read it again to understand it, then go back AGAIN to make sure you understand you understand it, It gets annoying. I like the Anime better....

There are alot of words in deathnote mangas, but it is important that u understand what it is about, so it is good to read it over a couple of times, or atleast till you understant it completely. If your not into reading you could just watch the anime series, but it may not be as detailed. Eather way it is a good series.

There are alot of words in deathnote mangas, but it is important that u understand what it is about, so it is good to read it over a couple of times, or atleast till you understant it completely. If your not into reading you could just watch the anime series, but it may not be as detailed. Eather way it is a good series.
