O.k! Who do u think is smarter.. L or Near?

O.k! I really think that Near is smarter because, Near out smarted Light when Light tried 2 kill Near but, he never had the real Death Note. Near had it all along.

Well, considering the fact that Near already came to the conclusion that Death Note and Shinigami exist without any evidence to base his assumptions on, the idea that Near may be at least just as smart as L may be just right.

Remember. Before L and Watari died, Watari deleted every single piece of information concerning the Kira case completely. Near was able to figure out what was going on with absolutely nothing but just a mere hunch.

Then again, Near is nothing but a Gary Stu.

But neway, L is so much smarter. the actions L took lead to Near learning about the notebook. Remember, L captured Kira (twice really) without even knowing of the notebook's existence, Near based his entire CASE on the notebooks. therefore, L is superior

Well id have to say since near is alive and L is dead that near is smarter. I think what caused L to fail was his trust in Light.

L trusted Light to much and even called him his "best friend" at one point in the
anime, the reason why L suspected Light as Kira is because they are so much alike
and that is also the reason why he called Light his "best friend". I think I am
going to have to go with Near on who is smarter because he didn't trust Light.

their both quite smart. I think had more to do with the fact that L had more contact with light than he should have. He let lights trick of friendship, and using the deathnote in his forgetfulness to his being keira play to much on L's mind. It clouded his mind, to where near was able to think past that because he never let light into his thoughts as a friend.
