Near and Light are both very smart. Who do u think is smarter? Personally, I think Near is...


Near solved that Light was really Kira. When light was about to kill Near, Mikami never really had the real Death Note. Near did. Light was stunned when Mikami got tricked of not really having the death note. But, I wasn't shocked if that L never really found out that Light was Kira. L did know he was. But, Near caught him.

i really dont know who is better, i mean near won because he is always emotionally in control, while light lashes out and loses it sometimes..
so in a way i would say near, but he did pick up what L left, so all in all, i think L surpasses everyone, and near is better than light in other fields of control, and thats why he won..
and light might've won if he would not have thought he was invincible, and if he could control his pride and emotions

Light's downfall was caused by other people (Mikami and Misa), it's not that Light screwed up himself.

In terms of intelligence, they are equal.

I think L is smarter but personally I think Light is my favourite character in Deathnote.

I would say that it is L since he should have never been able to narrow suspects down. i mean it was the perfect crime in every sense but he did it. Or at least came closer then he had right to.
