I heard Seira yell my name and tell something was behind me. I turned around slashing the person behind me. I slashed them in half. I stabbed the person next to the guy I just killed and kicked him down.

Seeing the others go charging out of the demon repelling field, Daniel shrugged then dragged Excalibur over to Siera, placing the grip in her hand, blade still in the ground. Talking quietly so the others didn't hear, he whispered to her.

"I know you're not at your best yet, the gem actually fell down your top. You're thinking about going for the portal they're coming through. Keep Excalibur in the ground & they won't be able to come close to you. You can still use your spell too, Excalibur will let you. I'll thin out the numbers for you..."

Turning around and walking to the edge of the field, he watched the others fight for a moment before drawing his short sword. Holding it ins his right hand, clockwork crossbow in left, he chuckled a bit, then crouched down, kinda like a sprinter on the blocks.

"OoooWA-A-A-OW!!!"

Leaping into the fray, he started slashing in all directions, fighting like a man possessed. Firing several needles into a Demon coming up behind Ash, he then launched his short sword at another charging Xahron, the sword finding it's mark. Firing the needle crossbow till it ran empty, he threw it into it's cradle on his back, fighting with bare hands.

"COME ON! I'VE FOUGHT BETTER EXCUSES FOR DEMONS ON MY SICK DAYS!!"

Chanting like he did back in the room, a flask of water popped open, it's contents floating up & around his fists, some also floating Siera's way. As it came in contact with her, she noticed it was noticeably more refreshing than normal water, as Daniel slammed his water wrapped fists into the Demons, who screamed as it burned at where it had hit them.

"This IS fun..."

((Sorry for the top thing, it was the only place I could think of where it fall into & remain in physical contact. Hope the sword helps ))

I had nodded my reply and saw everyone trying to defend me now is my turn to give back, maybe even give up immortality. It had been a long time since i had thought about that.parte del mio likfe di proteggere, di parte di esso a vincere i miei nemici.

Yes i was willing to give part of my immortality for every one here specially for my sister and Ash. Upon saying this strong winds blew that was accompanied by lightning burrowing on the ground. I held on to excalibur praying the spell would not cost me my entire life.

I wanted to protect everyone and all those I love i looked at Kiani and Ash and smiled praying they don't see the apprehension i have when i cast the spell. Giving up my imortality for the one i Love that was something that had never crossed my mind before. I was still hoping that Ash was the one i was promised to i don't want another war on the city that i love.

Ash felt the power coming from Seira, he moved back from the fighting after taking out three more demons. He moved over to her to see what she was doing, and noticed a look on her face that he couldn’t fully understand.

What was she about to do, what was about to happen. He stood his ground fight off two more demons, deciding to let her do whatever it was she was about to do, and keep her from being attacked in the process. He knew she had the sword, but how much could it hold off, that he didn’t know.

i knew my great grand father will have a fit for giving up immortality, but i want to do this. The air around me started to circle me and Ash and Kiani. I had closed my eyes and said thanks to the Gods for being so blessed.Sandro thanks for everything and i will do this for my family and all that I love. Kiani take care i will still be around but this is the only spell i know to protect everyone, i have to give up immortality. As I said my thanks and good byes through mindlink and telepathy, i smiled at Kiani as I saw her reaction. Wind was rushing and lightning and thunder came clashing.

Immortality I give , to vanquish and destroy and protect the ones I love. With all my heart this bargain I make with the gods. To stay above the surface and be banned from Atlantis for the rest of my mortal life that this spell will cost. As I said these words I heard Ash and Kiani say no, but the spell had taken effect as i saw in my mind that the captor of my brother had been struck down Lightning and the dome that protects Atlanis was renewed.


In Atlantis

Sandro knew of the spell as this had been the same one used by their grand father years ago. He knew that Seira had made a choice and will stand by it. As his captor was struck down he told Kiani and Ash what Seira had done. Kiani,Ash my sister is giving up her immortality to save my kingdom once that is done a pearl will come out of her and she will become mortal.

Atlantis Epilogue

As I said my spell i felt a warm dizzy sensation rising from my head and i knew that the only rememrance i have from Atlantis will be my birthmark. Not last good byes no final words as i finished my spell. I was lifted up a few feet above the ground and as i opened my eyes i saw what was part of me go out as a pearl into Kiani's hands and saw her take the pearl I smiled my apologies and she understood without any other word.

In Atlantis***10 years had passed

Kiani had moved to Atlantis to finally help out Sandro run Atlantis with Ron as her right hand man. If they ended up together ? No one actually knows but she and Sandro has taken to checking on Seira every now and then and sending some emissary to help out if needed. They saw that what had been gills on her neck had been transformed to what was a scar on her neck. Atlantis had survived through a long journey and sacrifice though the journey was short the friendships that had been earned was endearing and long lasting. Sandro and Kiani saw that their nephew had born the mark of their family eventually they will need to go to the shores of Locke and take his place in Atlantis, but that will be a long way from now they thought.

In Seira's cottage near the shores of Locke

DAniel had become a good friend as he said once a wanderer always a wanderer, he drops by to visit me and enjoys the time to visit me ,Silver and my husband . Since I had given him the Diadem he has engged himself in trade in bringing the enginieers Atlantis had needed.

I had turned to singing and the arts and practice magic just like my father had done before me when he left Atlantis. My day today was like any other as i went through my chores and went through my daily tasks. I had turned around to see what my little one had been doing for all this i thought to myself he bore the trident on his forhead and had a lot of questions like why he could breathe under water and what the birthmark meant. the wind was warm today and I felt Sandro and Kiani's presence somewhere but maybe that had been my imagination. When the door opened i had turned aound to see him who was important aside from my son Silver.

He smiled and walked over to me and saw our son trying to make sense of the pendant that i had given him when he was born. " So he has been at it again?" He asked I smiled and nodded and was still amazed that through the short journey to save my family i have found the one i was looking for and was happy no regrets with the sacrifice and I had fullfilled my promise that he will never be alone again.

Daniel Castigator Epilogue

He'd been quite enjoying himself during the battle with the demons, so he felt a little sad when they were destroyed by Siera's spell. Still, he got the battle he'd been searching for. He was pleased with the job he'd done that day, as short as it was.

Now, 10 years later, things were different now. Thanks to him, Atlantis was now trading happily with the Engineers Guild, Daniel's contraptions earning their respect & allowing him to set up the agreement. He'd even managed to find someone inside Atlantis who could allow the convoys in when he couldn't, as well as started up a small defense force, should they ever be threatened again. He looked down at Atlantis from above, pleased to see it prosper so well. The people truly deserved it. Taking a deep breath, he turned & left for Siera's cottage.

The child had grown, & asking questions about his birthmark & abilities. It was time to do this. As he neared the cottage his tracking spell, still active after all this time, told him she was inside, near the rear entrance. Being careful not to alert her, he slipped inside & went to the main living area. Silently drawing Excalibur, he looked at the Diadem given to him so long ago. Tracing the outline of it with his finger, he then held it carefully, the gem sliding out smoothly into his hand. Examining it, he took out a note he'd written for this day, placed it on the table then placed the Diadem on top of it.

Looking back at Excalibur, he smiled as a new gem grew from where the Diadem had rested for so long. Examining the red gem, he sighed happily as a blue ripple went through it, showing it how bears the power of the Diadem too, still allowing him entry if needed. Silently sheathing Excalibur, he turned & left the cottage, walking up the nearby hill. Stopping at the top, he looked back as he sensed Siera enter the main living area, her actions telling him she'd found his gift. Though she didn't wear the gem he'd given her, he could still sense her emotions as she read his letter.

Dear Siera & family,
Thankyou for allowing me to assist in your time of need 10 years ago today. Atlantis now has a flourishing trade with the Engineers Guild, as well as being able to defend itself now. Atlantis is thriving, thanks to your quest & sacrifice. And now, I give you a gift you so rightly deserve.

I know young Silver has begun asking a lot of questions about his birthmark, how he can breath underwater & his past in general, so it's time you showed him. I give you Diadem, that you may once again enter Atlantis & show him his past. I give it to you pleased I am no longer needed to keep things going. I may still come to visit from time to time, but I don't know when that will next be. Just remember I value you all deeply as trusted friends, & we shall meet again.

May your life be blessed in every way.

Daniel didn't need to try at all to tell how she reacted, as he saw her run out to her family, show them the letter only for all of them to celebrate. Smiling to himself, he looked up at the sun setting behind him.

"Their destinies are fulfilled. My work here is done..."

Looking up at the hill, Siera was certain she saw Daniel's silhouette there, lowering himself into a deep bow directed at them as he faded away in Evanescence, disappearing like mist as he left for his next destination...

He had work to do elsewhere...
