Lysil looked at the spinels, then she looked around and spotted a fairly good sized chunk of copper ore. "Does anyone know if there is a copper mine in the direction of those hills." she said pointing in the same direction the arrows were. "I'd say that is the direction that we go. And I need to hunt on the way. I'm starving." Upon saying that she opened another Pepsi.

"Forgive me, but I have my reasons for wearing this. Not doing so could have, unfortunate ramifications for myself & others under my care..."

Seeing the runes in the spinels, he thinks for a moment. Seems the dragon sending them on this little hunt was sending them a message too. Curious. Still, if these are the events which must happens, then so be it.

"I'm not sure about mines, but I've been around here before & I believe there are many local animals. Shouldn't be too hard to find some..."

Watching her down another Pepsi, he switched his helmet via mental control to contact Beast. Before he could even speak, Beast is already complaining at him. Making sure No one else can hear him, he replies.

"Just a sec.......Yeah, OK.........Look, until he heals, we've got no choice. And if he's not in the drivers seat, it won't look right. You did play the illusion spell like I ordered, right?.......Good..........Yeah, I know, I don't like it either, but again, no choice. Now keep track already. Beast Master Out."

Switching back to open speech, he follows the rest of the group as they keep searching for mines...

The group followed the trail of spinels. At one point in their journey they came to a small farm. Lysil had approached the farmer about purchasing some of his cattle. The reply that he would not sell any of his prize cattle to there sort didn't make her happy at all. Lysil went back to her group and told them to go on, she was going to hunt in the nearby woods. After a short break themselves they came through a short wooded area that separated the pastures. They could hear distressed lowing, walking into the pasture they saw Lysil sitting very smugly under a tree finishing a good sized buck. Up in the tree was the farmer's prize bull, trying desperately to stay IN the tree. When she saw her group she shifted into human form and joined them, she said grinning mischieviously "It's so much fun watching them climb trees."

Joe grinned at the sight of the bull in the tree. The girl had a strange sense of humor, which he liked. Then he checked out the newest companion. There was something odd about him, never taking of his helmet, appearing out of the nowhere. Joe didn't really like it. So euh, BM, where do you come from? Oh and I think I didn't really introduce myself yet, I'm Joe, an assassin He pronounced those last words more clear and louder than the rest, maybe this would make the stranger aware that Joe WOULD kill if it was necessary...

"Well, I'm not the only one who isn't quite sure about our newest companion." She thought. Then she pulled the last spinel out of a pocket and looked at it. It looked like all the others except that the message was for the Beast Master. She was going to speak to him privately, but questions needed to be answered BEFORE they walked into the full Dragon's tests.

She walked up to the beast master and handed him the spinel, telling him the message that was written on it in Draconic. "It say that you need to have your companion meet us at the mine. The testing is for all of us or none." Lysil was using all of her senses to gauge the Beast Master's reaction. "If we are to travel together and rely on each other then there should be no secrets. In a Dragon Test secrets could cause us to fail or get killed."

sevile sat coiled around a rock conversting with the goblin wizard. his knowledge of scorcery was astounding. i must absorb his mind, sevile thought to himself as he and the goblin discussed their war stories. A strange whistle came from outside the newly fashioned cave. gant rushed up and excused himself pretending not to of heard the whistle. sevile understood what was happening right away. Gant was never alone, he was just too clever to let anyone see it. sevile pulled out an eye of an owl from his satchel. with his hand over the eye he began to chant. the chant became deeper and deeper, suddenly his eyes began to shine a bright white. sevile now had the vision to see what action gant was taking. gant was speaking to three giant ogre and two goblin soilders the ogre were obviously under a spell because the way gant was ordering them to circle the cave would have made the ogre stomp on his tiny body. sevile had to act quickly. he put the eye away and pulled out a tiny glass cube. inside were tiny burst of light bouncing off the sides. sevile also held in his other hand a stone mosquito. holding them at his sides he waited for gant to come back, and sure enough gant had just arrived. grinning ear to grimy pointed ear he sat back down and tried to converse once again with sevile. sevile grinned back and waited for gant to give a command word. sevile slid over to a large rock that sit in the corner and stared at gant. not speaking or moving. just grinning. gant began to get worried and then went into panic. sevile moved slightly causeing gant to give his command to early. his men began to rush in but sevile was ready. he threw the cube on the ground and spoke the command the lights burst out of the cube and created an electrical burst through the air. suddenly the ogres goblin soilders and gant were paralized. sevile then held out the stone insect and spoke its trigger. the bug flew over to gant and began sucking at gants brian. with every suck, the creature became larger in size. gant began to scream from the pain. soon after gant stopped screaming. sevile turned to the others and licked his lips. he was terribly hungry after all and he doesnt want to waste his catch. the mosquito finished devouring the knowledge from gants head then flew over to sevile. turning from his meal he concentrated on shrinking the the bug. after it shrank to the size of a pebble sevile swalloed it. absorbing what ever knowledge gant had. deciding he was full sevile then set the cave aflame.

Sighing deeply, Beast Master looked in the direction they had come in, read the runes again, looked up at the bull, then looked at the others.

"Very well, I knew I would have to reveal thew at some point, though I would have preferred later, to prove their use before introducing them."

Turning again to where they'd come from, BM ((I think I'll use that too. Much easier to write )) whistled loudly, nothing happening for a few seconds. Then the sound of a car engine could be heard, sounding like it was revving quite a bit. Suddenly a black car came jumping over a ridge of earth, turning just before leaving the ground, causing it to spin as it flew through the air. Landing side on, it somehow didn't roll, instead taking off with amazing traction, the man behind the wheel obviously not enjoying the ride at all. Racing around like a rally car, it eventually stopped in front of BM, the drivers side door opening, throwing the man behind the wheel out. Climbing to his feet enraged, the man roared Demonically, shredding the human appearance spell, revealing his true appearance.

He has a huge muscular body, red skinned with a black loin cloth (typical demon look :lol: . Think Hellboy if it helps), with a head like a bulls, complete with a ring through his nostrils as a piercing. In a harness on his back with traps crossing on his chest, his 2 double headed axes were still in place. Hoofed feet ended his legs, bent like a dogs only with much more muscle. He straightened the silver coloured necklace around his neck, The serpent like creature ornament swinging around, the same snake like creature as on Beast Master's racing suit. Taking out his axes, he swung at the car, only for it to jump backwards, body parts growing from it's bodywork, all poised to strike, as the 2 squared off till BM got between them.

"SETTLE DOWN NOW!! Remember your vows! I'm doing this for you both, now behave or the deals off! Understand?"

The 2 backed away, knowing full well what that would mean, but still eying each other off. Runes inside Beast's cabin glowed as they concealed it's powers, but Draankaa had no such wards, his regained power obvious to all, as well as his resemblance to the Demons the group fought earlier. Turning back to the group, BM took another deep breath.

"I guess I've got some explaining to do. This *indicating the Demon* is Draankaa, the one those demons were truly after, & this *indicating the car with body parts growing out of it* is Beast, my partner in my quest. Draankaa has joined us as a teammate in our quest too, so you don't have to worry about him. He will not harm you, or his chances of success will fall greatly. Ummm, I'm not entirely sure how to explain our quest to be honest..."

The Demon bowed as he was introduced, while Beast revved & lowered it's front end, while raising it's rear. As Draankaaa put his axes away, he punched himself on the snout, as if punishing himself for his actions. Beast however just lowered it's clawed & bladed limbs into a non threatening pose, returning to it's normal body height.
