Thread: The Journey

Jane stared wide eyed at the man entering the cave. He introduced himself, Jane burst into tears and flung her arms around him. She cried for a while out of relief. as her sobbing settled she let Ben go. "I'm Jane" she said fingering the beaded braclet that read Jane Doe Dupree? " Do I know you?" she asked totally confused.

The boy appeared beside Ben and droped a purse at his feet.

Nicole was surprised by the girls reaction, but comforted her none the less. "There there child." He said while patting her back. "Where did you come from dear?" Nicole said while picking up the purse. "Is this yours?" He asked Jane.

"I dont know." replied Jane. Nicole looked in the purse and found a small pill box labeled "for headaches, take one" a change purse, and a S&R medical badge that read Jane Doe Dupree. Age unknown. Amnesia and trauma patient. Prone to migraine headaches and memory loss. Physician: Dr. Johnathan Sanborn

Nicole looked at the badge and then at Jane, "So you where at the S&R building? It says here that you should take this medicine." Nicole said while taking out the bottle. "Are you lost Jane? Do you want me to take you back?" Nicole said with a concerned look.

Jane thought that was an odd question. She had been "lost" for over a year. "I...I..I don't know where I'm from.....I don't know where I am.....I..I.." she started to cry again. "..I...don't even know who I am!!!"

Nicole felt sorry for this girl and picked her up to carry her out of the cave and out of the park. "Hold on child." Nicole said and walked towards the S&R building. "I'm going to ask that you be put under my care and we'll see if we can fix your problem. Is that ok with you?" Nicole asked as him and the kid walked side by side with Nicole carrying the girl with him.

Jane held on as she was carried through the woods. "OK" she whispered. Then she looked at the child following them and asked " is he real or a dream? I can see through him."
