    Re: Mythological Mechwarrior

Carollyn suddenly heard one of the Blake "Priests" yell out louder than thunder. "Don't go after the black racoon or you'll blow us all to kingdom come!" His cries were suddenly silenced as a sword cleaved his head in twain.

Markavius continued to brief Debra on the sitch (for some reason, only her). Oddly enough, he never used conjunctions and was always polite but coldy formal as if the military life was all he had ever known.

A sympathist tank suddenly careened into the area only to have a large purple form land on it. The bears claws shredded the battle steal with contemptuous ease.

Meanwhile, other creatures continued to pour out of the ship, about 15 in all. Each one was unique.

A Blake locust came into the area then and Carollyn (and Debra) watched as the purple bear threw the OA individual at the mech. Markavius cut into the mech with his vibrosword and then casually tossed the pilot out. He then began to dismantle the tanks in the area with deadly efficiency, never missing a single shot and always destroying on the first blast. Those around and listening in on the comms could hear him muttering "low tech garbage. I am highly surprized that this inferior technology is holding up as well as it is!"

    Re: Mythological Mechwarrior

More and more men were desperate to get away from Markavius, spotting the ship they charged toward it hoping to use it to get away. Coming across Carollyn and the animals blocking the way, they started fighting her. While she was competent in sword play and a good marksman, the numbers of increasing men left her hard pressed to protect herself and the creatures that were still in the ship.

With one unlucky blow cleaved a sword into her right arm threw the muscle and into the bone where it stuck. She screamed in pain and dropped her sword since her hand was now useless. She had also dropped her laser from the shock of being injured. Her attacker pulled a pistol and shot her in the groin. She collapses to the floor severely wounded. Men charged into the ship hoping to use it to escape and creatures finished coming out of the same ship.

Jinx was standing beside Carrollyn looking like a giant snarling puff ball. {Help my pet. She injured. No loose pet!!!} He sent out an image of Carollyn's injuries and location to any who could pick up his thoughts. A shadow fell over her, Carollyn turned to see who was standing over but never had the opportunity too as everything went black from the blow to the head that he delivered to her.

    Re: Mythological Mechwarrior

The entire Lance of the 301st Scout Lance was now on bored the Beast of Burden. After Günter Helmut, the Capton of the Talon class drop ship touched down, him and his men picked up Debra and Robert and headed straight for the 301st out post and quickly picked up the rest of the Lance as well as bring on bored Roberts 50 ton medium Uziel battle mech.
It was a good five hours before they were off Sety IV and headed to meet up with a Federation Suns jump ship, the Servant of the Sun.
The good Capton was already informed of the situation; Debra was with him as well as with a few other Lance commanders and devising a plan of action. Mean while, Robert and every one else were in the cargo hold checking their mechs over, inspecting them to make sure they were well set for operational status.
Mark Shenshery, was a young man of average height with dark hair and eyes and was of average build of a mech warrior. He is of a strong Russian heritage of old terra and is Roberts oldest friends. He was their units scout. He prepped his Raven light mech with four medium lasers and MRM-14s (Medium Ranged Missiles) and calibrated his ECM and Bagel Active Probe electronic systems.
Gwen Histaty was a very Pettit young woman, shy and quiet person who usually keeps to her self. Gwen, like Debra was very stunning to look at, with soft pail skin and short blond hair. She played the roll of the unit’s anti-infantry and light armor. Her mech was also a light mech like Marks Raven, but smaller, lighter, and faster. She checked her targeting systems which tied into her Flea light mech's two small pulse lasers, 2 standard short light armor machine guns, and flame thrower. Such weapons wouldn’t do much to a mech but were ideal for tarring apart infantry and lightly armored vehicles.
John Bronski was a big burly black man. He was the oldest out of the Lance and the most experience in actual combat. Despite his size which many pilots like to joke about on how he manages to pit in a cockpit of a mech, he could move very fast and was incredibly strong do to the fact his body was all muscle. John and Roberts get along very well and are very close friends and are often heared poking fun at each other which Debra some time gets caught up in from time to time. He is the pilot of a Wolf Hound or Panzer Wolf light attack mech. With a Particle Projectile Cannon for a main gun, backed with four medium lasers, three in the chest and the fourth in the left arm, John and Robert were their Units heavy hitters.
Robert quickly looked to make sure his weapons targeting systems were correctly aligned. Robert's Uziel is considered a heavy reconisons support mech. The standard load is with twin PPCs, one on each arm for long range attacks against heavy threats, particularly other mechs and are in fact very lethal. Backed with 2 Machine guns, one in each shoulder and a dorsal mounted SRM-6 rack (Short Range Missiles), and a flame thrower in the right armor. How ever, Roberts’s mech is heavily modified. Removing the back up weapons and removing all available heat sinks to tool down his mech, he was able to mount a light gauss rifle onto it's right shoulder, giving it even greater offensive range and power against other mechs. Unfortunately do to the lack of heat sinks the mech runs very hot and quickly over heats in two shots of it's PPC energy weapons before needing to wait for the mechs core to cool down, other wise the mech will automatically shut down to prevent the core from going critical and exploding.
    All lights were green.
When the final checks were completed, Robert and his Lance mates met up in their quarters to talk about the up coming mission.

    Re: Mythological Mechwarrior

The man holding Carrolyn suddenly had a charred butt. The dragonling was having fun frying people left and right. The cactus just seemed to sigh and walk over to a hidden panel in the ship. It hit something and a small (5 foot) tank came out. It climbed inside and started shooting morons with a sort of particle like cannon. The racoon was getting annoyed. It started glowing brighter and brighter. Those people within 10 feet of it began developing symptoms of radiation poisoning. Oddly enough, it was ONLY a ten foot diameter area around the coon that was having such issues.

Markavius suddenly laughed in glee. Shadows near a building suddenly changed and warped. Markavius ran over to the spot as a Shadowhawk appeared. This one seemed to be in MINT condition. He hopped from the smaller locust to the 'Hawk and climbed inside. Those watching noted that the two seemed almost to become one. Several Blake officers started yelling orders to go after the Civilians. One man stated that it would take about 30 hours to breach the defenses of the area. To which the officer just pointed at the deadly warrior/mech combo. The junior officer started trying to get everyone to go after the civilians. He had already narrowly missed being killed by the locust.

Debra was still being updated on the sitch minute by minute by the strange mechwarrior. She suddenly noticed that he had fangs and a feral look in his eyes once he got into the 'Hawk. She was able to get a brief look at the technology of the mech andnoticed that it was like someone had taken SL tech and amped it up.

Note: The Shadowhawk is even beyond what the Clans have if you know anything about them. It's also jet with NO markings. Also, the Clans have not come to the IS at this point even if they exist at all.

    Re: Mythological Mechwarrior

Six battle mechs appeared onto the scene of the now a war zone that was once the university. All six bared a grey sward with a red ora surrounded it set in a black rectangle. This was the standard flag of the Ward of Blake units, how ever; on the other side was what appeared to be a blood stand hand. The mark of the Word of Blacks special death units. Highly trained, fearless, and above all, ruthless.
Two of the mechs were Blackheart heavy mechs, well equipped with 2 SRM-6s and 2 ER medium pulse lasers for secondary weapons with 2 gauss rifles as its main weapons. The Blackhearts ECM appeared to have worked as the enemy mech had not noticed them advancing. The two focused their attention to the Shadow-hawk opening up with their gauss rifles.
The first shot fell a little low and to the right and blew a large crater into the ground just below the Shadow Hawk's right arm. The other three rounds on the other hand scored direct hits. Two to the mechs right shoulder, shredding armor as if it was nothing more then wet paper. The fourth and final round struck it in the center of its back leaving a spiral hole where the high powered round had entered. The force knocking the machine off its feet and to the ground. The two Blackhearts continue to advance on the crippled mech.
The three other mechs were Jinggau's, heavy mechs like the Blackheart. They first focused their attention on the strange creatures. The tank that was being operated by the mobile cactus creature was the first of their victims as one of the Jinggau's opened up with 4 ER medium lasers that effortlessly vicerated the armored vehicle into nothing more then a smolding husk.
The second and third Jinggau's shredded the bear like creature and coon with their single medium pulse lasers before moving on to actual military targets.
The sixth and final mech was an Atlas, an assault mech that could deliver and take unimaginable amount of punishment and watched the scene with great sadisfaction.

I know what the Shadow-hawk is, although some times I get their names confused with the Night-hawk. The Shadow-hawk is a IS medium mech.

    Re: Mythological Mechwarrior

A shadow behind the Atlus suddenly grew as the Shadowhawk stepped forward from behind the enemy mechs. The "Hawk that had been "blown" away seemed to dissolve as the attackers suddenly realized what had happened, HOLOGRAM and a highly advanced one. The Shadow Hawk shot once and took out the pilot with it's Auto Cannon.

Note: I'm referring to the SL mech that had been around for centuries. I'll attempt to either get a picture up in OCC or get a link up to it.

    Re: Mythological Mechwarrior

The remaining five Blake heavy mechs quickly turned around and open fired with their Gauss Rifles, but the smaller and much more nimble mech was able to easily avoid the high powered rounds.
The Shadow Hawk just seamed to dance around the heavier mechs with ease, until the Blackhearts strafed the Shadow Hawk with their SRM-6s. Upon impacting any surface erupted into a fiery explosion. How ever the fire did not dissipate but instead continue to burn much more intensely. The Blakist Blackhearts were firing what were called Inferno SRM-6s, filled with napalm as well as explosives allowing the fiery gel to spread in a wide area very effectively. Even near misses were still effective in driving the Temperature of a mechs core to the point where it would be forced to shut down.
Seeing this, the pilot of the Shadow Hawk used its jump jets to get clear and avoid the hell storm while firing its auto cannons. The rounds did relatively little damage to the thicker armor of the Blackhearts, how ever their damage was significantly more. Even when firing at their chest mounted missile racks had little effect do impart after firing a valley solid endo steel shutters would quickly shut tight and protected the highly volatile warheads of the Inferno SRMs.
Just as the Medium mech was about to land, the Blackhearts opened up with another valley of Infernos, showering any near by area where the Shadow Hawk could possibly land with sticky high intensity burning gel.
It was only a mater of time before the Shadow Hawk would be forced to shut down, and time was not on the pilot's side as the Temperature inside the mech's core was climbing rapidly and nearly at red line levels. The air inside the cockpit was becoming blistering hot as well. If he was unable to some how get some distance from the Blackhearts Inferno SRM-6s he would not only face his mech shutting down and presenting an easy target, but also faced the fact that he would be cooked alive from the inside out by the very air he breathed.

    Re: Mythological Mechwarrior

Markavius got annoyed then. These idiots were going against the rules of engagement completely. His mind became one with his mech as his neural link synched him up with it. He found the missiles launchers on the other mechs and fired once, knocking out all of the other mechs launchers in one shot. Debra was able to witness this, as well as the fact that for Markavius, the other mechs seemed to slow down.

Markavius then hit another switch. His Auto Cannon was suddenly replaced by a PPC. Debra could tell that it was somehow similar to the Blake's own Dimensional tech, just on a grander scale. Markavius then commed the other mechs.

"I, Markavius Skyleague, hereby challenge your greatest warrior to a duel of honor. May the loser's allies leave this place. Should you deny such a duel, I will have my ally destroy the very texts you came for. Forgive me if it is not as honorable as I would like, however, you have left me with little choice in the matter."
