It's time to announce the Hentai Gallery. All members under 18 are told to leave the View Mature Content turned off. This new setting will ensure AO has done the right thing.

So, let's change Ecchi Gallery to "Hentai / Ecchi Gallery". We can always break up this gallery later if it gets too big.

What about access? I'm happy to allow ALL usergroups to view this gallery. Of course though unregistered will be unable to view as they need to be registered and confirm they are 18 or above. It could also be a good incentive to get members to sign up. By default, a users preference has the View Mature Content turned off.

If no-one sees any problems with the above, then great, I will announce it within 24 hours.

I think this is a section in DEFINATE need of some of it's own rules. Let's just say that "hentai" is a very broad term and not everyone is comfortable with everyone else's kinks (nor are those kinks always considered tasteful or even legal)

things that need to be addressed:

Size limits
What is our stance on loli/shota?
How about guro? futanari? yaoi? nonconsentual?
obscenities in comments/titles?
can images still be reported as offensive?

A section like this one should be 100% moderated. you may say that I dont thrust the Comm members, elite and veterans and you are correct, member status doesnt mean they will follow the rules of this section and there is a lot in geopardy here.

I doubt the authors of obscenity laws have ever even IMAGINED the depths of perversion to which the Japanese (...and those damn furries) can sink :P I'm pretty sure that if "oral sex" is obscene: inflation, futanari, bukkake, shrinking, vore, amputation, and paizuri are also in the same ballpark.

ie. anything "kinky"

I am really anti-hentai...if others want it then...ok...not like I have to browse it but can we please make sure this is a limited section in the sense it doesn't show up in the random images?
