No thumbnails for animated sigs

The current gallery doesn't seem to be able to generate thumbnails for animated signatures ->

Is there a way to input a static image as a thumbnail manually?

If not, we should probably disallow animated signatures in the gallery altogether (or encourage the upload of a static "placeholder" and then allow users to link to a remote-hosted animated version elsewhere in the message body).

I don't believe the image processor is guaranteed to process animated gifs correctly in Internet Explorer. An IE issue/bug/failure.

So you're seeing a thumbnail? I get the image itself, just fine. But the thumbnail will not appear, no will it allow me to "reconstruct" the thumbnail.

I do not see animated thumbnails in IE, only in Firefox.

Are you getting a thumbnail at all, in either, for the image I linked?

Yes, I get a thumbnail in Firefox but not in IE only for animated thumbs.
